WICKER BASKET BAG
Just recently someone made a scarf swatch in a
basket-like weave .. or was it a Celtic weave.. and I remembered that I’d made
a scarf (and shawl) in basket weave, but not a bag or a basket
I also found that I had this lovely thick shiny
malai dori (an Indian polyester viscose yarn, a sport / DK ply thickness) in a
nice fawn colour that would be just perfect for this project.. So hooks and
yarn out.. here’s what I’ve come up with.

In my patterns I work with the principle of stitch count and bag measurement. This means that you need to work the stitch count in pattern, till you get the measurement (length and/or width) that you need for your project.
I’ve changed the pattern a little bit for this purse – but I’m sure you can use the link above if you like that pattern, so have fun
