FRINGED SCARF

Have you ever used Milk Cotton yarn? It's thick, soft and such a dream to work with. It is pretty warm too - and this scarf is a great project with that lovely yarn.

Materials used : Today I’ve used ~ 250 gms Milk Cotton yarn with a 4.5 mm crochet hook ; embroidery needle ; fabric glue to seal ends ; crochet stitch markers

For Indians : The yarn I’ve used is slightly thicker (say 1.5 times) to our Vardhaman / Oswal acrylic yarns or Laura knitting cotton .

You could use Anchor , Red rose , 4-ply knitting cotton , or unbranded knitting cotton or White Rose or bamboo knitting cotton , Milk cotton ; Silk yarns ; Baby soft acrylic yarn , Ganga Spectrum as well

General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this pattern.

You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.

International yarns : Among the international yarns I have used in this thickness, I’d suggest Lily Sugar n' Cream cotton yarn, Caron Simply Soft , Bernat Softee chunky.

but I think you could also use Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn

Difficulty level : Intermediate

Size made : 46" x 22" with 12" long tassels

Size only given for yarn estimation. You can make this project to any size you want.

sc : single crochet hdc : Half Double crochet

ch : chain ch-sp : chain space

sp : space rep : Repeat

Please note that I start all my rounds with a ch 1 turning chain for ease.

Please note that I take a lot of trouble to give loads of tips through my pattern sheet, so please read through the full sheet before you pick up your hook n yarn.

The beauty of today's pattern is that you can use any yarn with a suitable hook to create this project. You can also use any stitch (sc or hdc or dc or e-sc ; or any of the extended stitches - videos for all of which are given above)

The other beauty is that there is no end size for this - you can make it to any size and then add tassels as long as you want to make it dainty and 'long'er..
