Sweet Nothings Crochet: TWO BEAUTIFUL HEART SHAPED BAGS

Two beautiful heart shaped bags - crochet pattern info from Sweet Nothings Crochet

I made two dresses for a 5-yr old and thought that it just deserved something more… so I made a headband and a little removable flower .. and I wanted just one more thing.. so this special lil girl got a pair of little bags too… after all, which little girl doesn’t want a cute little bag, right?!

Today I've used our lovely Indian Oswal Cashmilon 4-ply acrylic yarn with a 3.5 mm crochet hook

Double Crochet : dc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk);

[yo, draw through 2 lps] twice. One dc made.

Abbreviations used : (Using U.S terminology)

lp(s) : Loop(s) sc : Single crochet

dc : Double crochet sp : Space

sl-st : Slip stitch ch : Chain

st(s) : Stitch(es) hk : Hook

yo : Yarn Over

Please note that I start all my rows with a ch 1, turning chain for ease.

Please read through all my notes before you pick up your hook, so you know just where we're heading in our pattern.

Both the cute little handbags are made from free patterns, and except for a choice of colour and playing around with a few beads, I’ve worked the pattern all the way. I decided on the beads after I’d finished the bag, so I cheated, and stuck them on with some lovely water-insoluble glue.

I also got my bag professionally lined with satin, but I’ve given you links above on how to line the bags.
