TINY
DOILY MOTIF EAR RING
I’ve
been on a mad ear ring spree.. just making motifs and stringing them into ear
ring hooks. I just made a few cat motifs
, a cute lil dog motif , an elephant and now this tiny doily motif.. I am
hoping to successfully convert these motifs into jewelry. Let’s see how many ways you can use it.

General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this pattern.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
International yarns : Among the international yarns I have used in this thickness, I’d suggest Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn.
For this project, the finer the yarn,
the thinner each "petal", and the cuter the end result – so go ahead and use any
yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
Instruction information
This
pattern is not in English, and I have written to the designer for permission to
translate into English. I still await
her response. In the meantime, if you are able to read charts, visit that page
and have a creative day.
Add in a few beads and you get a totally different end result :)
Finishing :
To
make this into a pair of ear rings : Attach yarn to the centre of the
motif and attach that yarn to the hook of your ear ring.
OR
neatly attach it to the centre of an ear ring hoop.
To
make this into a pendant : Attach a little pendant hook onto the centre of
the motif and slip it neatly into a necklace chain.
