FLOWER BELT

This is a cute quick belt that will also make a neat starting edge for a beautiful blanket for a baby girl.. a little fussy for a blanket, but methinks it will be abs superb.

Materials used : I have used an Indian polyester silk purse thread , with a 4 mm crochet hook ; beads ; pearls ; a belt buckle fabric glue to seal ends neatly

For Indians : You could use Anchor , Red ros or unbranded knitting cotton as well as Vardhaman acrylic yarns

In my patterns I work with the principle of stitch count and body measurement.  This means that you need to work the stitch count in pattern, till you get the measurement (length and/or width) that you need for your project.

Once you have made the belt as long as you need it, all you need to do is attach the belt buckle on one end and extend a little bit along the other end (to thread through the belt buckle)

free crochet pattern, free crochet belt pattern, free crochet floral belt pattern, sweet nothings crochet, blogaday, spreadsmiles, Polyester purse yarn, Pradhan Embroidery Stores,

For this, I worked hdc on three of the petals (centre plus ones on either side of it) and worked one hdc in the space between the petals.
Check that this width is not too much to go through your belt buckle.
If it is, reduce a bit along both sides with a hdc 2-tog to get a slightly thinner strap. Then go ahead and attach this to your belt buckle.

Work the same thing on the other end of your belt, but this time, just a longer straight strip that will work through your buckle to hold your belt in place.
You don’t really need ‘holes’ as we’re working hdc, and the belt buckle pin will easily slip through this to get it to fit.
