BEAUTIFUL FLOWER TOWEL RING HOLDER
After yesterday’s ever so cute owl towel ring holder / topper, let’s work on a slightly complicated 3D flower motif creation today. This is my second flower motif / towel ring holder / towel topper.

Materials used : Today I’ve used some polyester silk purse yarn with a 4 mm crochet hook, a ring (to hold your towel).
General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this pattern.
You can use any cotton yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.

Today we have four parts to our creation – making beautiful 3D flower motif, preparing the ring, the holding chain and then finishing and putting it all together.
I have decided to work with two colors for my rose – red and silver. For the ring, I have decided to use a sparkly black. The holding chain for this creation is the same grey as the flower petals.
Part 1 : The flower motif

This video is not in English, but you do not need to hear anything - the video is very clear.
Just reduce the speed, if needed, (by clicking on the gear icon on the right hand side of your YouTube screen) and pause when you are doing what she is showing you. This worked for me.
Once you get the hang of how she interlocks the petals, you don’t need to watch eagle-eyed anymore.

Part 2 : Covering the ring or bangle
As I mentioned before, I’ve used some sparkly black yarn to cover my ring.
But basically using any yarn, work one round of sc all around the ring, just like we did in yesterday’s creation.
To do this, you start with a slip knot around the ring and then work sc all around.
How do you work sc around the bangle / ring? Like you usually work an sc, but you work the hook around the bangle and then grab your yarn to work the sc.

Part 3 : The holding chain
As I mentioned before, I used the same silver yarn as I have used for the flower petals, for the holding chain.
For today’s creation, I was lazy (as I have been before) and did not work a chain.
I just have used a small length of yarn and attached it to the two points on my ring.
In my case, this yarn was strong enough to hold the project without it keeling over – so before you decide which yarn, check that your project holds straight.
In case it does not, just work a few chains instead of just using the yarn.
To work chains, just attach your yarn to one point on the ring, work as many chain as you think you need to hang this off the hook on your wall, and then re-attach it to the ring.
Once again, I suggest that you attach the motif first, and then check that your project stands up straight.
Part 4 : Finishing and Putting it all together
Place the beautiful flower in front of your prepared ring and neatly attach.
(I used an embroidery needle)
Please use the photograph as a guide.
Before you fasten off, please hold your creation up with the ring or centre of chain and see that it holds.
Secure your towel holder onto the wall and hang your towel through and smile. This is a beautiful project – one that can not only be made in several colors, but using any yarn and any hook that’s suitable for that yarn.
