We’ve
got five cute little motifs for D. Come
along, let’s see what we can do with this set.
We have a doll, a dress, a duck, dolphins and of course, a dog.

Materials used : Today I’ve used our lovely Oswal 4-ply
acrylic yarn with a 3.5 mm
For Indians : You could use Anchor , Red rose ; Red rose metallic or unbranded knitting cotton as well as Vardhaman acrylic yarns
General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this
pattern.
You can use any yarn with
a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
International yarns : Among the international yarns I have used in this thickness, I’d suggest Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn.

The
pattern chart is given in sc, so that’s how I’ve written it – as it is meant as
a small motif. I wanted a slightly larger motif, so I worked the whole pattern
in hdc …and it worked for me.

In
case you have decided to work the face in hdc, remember that for the tweak
here, you will work 1 hdc for every sc and work a dc where it reads hdc.
That way you will increase the size of your
ear to match the face size. Got it?
Start Row 1 : with 5 fsc.
Turn and work 1 sc in the 1st 4 fsc ;
3 sc in the last fsc ;
sc in the next 3 fsc ;
2 sc in the last fsc.
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
Half Double Crochet : Hdc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk) ;
yo, draw through all 3 lps. One hdc made.
