ILLUSION BLANKET
For all of you who are following my blogs, you
will know how I have always complained about motifs and granny squares and
weaving and tying in ends. That said,
there are some patterns that just *must* be done.. no matter how much it
troubles you in the finishing process.
The Illusion blanket is one such creation
When I saw this creation, I knew I had to make
it.

This is an awesome free pattern at

Put aside your worry about weaving in ends, and
I urge you to try this one out. The end result is *SO* worth it all.
The trick for this pattern is to get three
colours that go well together and have a slight contrast. It is the contrast that gives off the 3-D
effect.
For this blanket, I used (about 2 skeins of each colour) our Indian Vardhaman Millenium with a 4 mm crochet hook.
I'd say that this qualifies as an Intermediate skill level.

As there were so many ends, I decided to line
this blanket with some really soft satin and it made a really super project
that was (and is) appreciated by the recipient.
Enjoy creating your illusion and be
awed by it. Do remember to tag me, so we can both drool over it together.
