REALLY CUTE ANIMAL SQUARES
 FOR PROJECT CHEMO

I’ve been slowly building up my granny square collection for donation to the lovely project for cancer patients http://www.projectchemocrochet.com/

Thank you for joining me.

Oh, and may I add that the fastest way to find any of my blogs is via Pinterest.

All my blogs can be printed.  Find the printer friendly (green) link at the bottom of this blog.  You can also hit Control P (or Command P for Mac) on your keyboard, and the blog will go directly to the connected printer.

Remember that you only print if absolutely essential.  Save paper – Save Our Earth.

Do remember to add my blog URL when you make and show off your creation.

Just copy the link on the search bar above - that's the blog URL.

To purchase this or similar yarn online, click here to buy your yarns online via Amazon.  While you will still pay the same, I may get paid by Amazon as well.

This is a free blog - so do pay it forward for me.  Cheers.

Do check the link above and see how you can help in this Movement.

Materials used : A combination of our local Indian Oswal acrylic yarns with a 3.5 mm crochet hook ; fabric glue to seal ends
This yarn is not specific for this project.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
As today's project is a donation to Project Chemo Crochet, the squares need to be 9” x 9” - going towards toddler blankets

For Indians : You could use Anchor , Red ros ; Red rose metallic or  unbranded  knitting cotton as well as Vardhaman acrylic yarns

International yarns :  Among the international yarns I have used, I’d suggest Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn ; Alize bamboo yarn ; Spotlight 4-Seasons Stallion or Marvel acrylic yarns or "I-love-this-cotton" cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby.
Abbreviations used :
sc : single crochet            dc : Double crochet
ch : chain                         ch-sp : chain space
sp : space                        rep : Repeat
trc : Treble / triple crochet
dtrc : Double triple crochet

So I after my initial set of 24 squares, I made a set of flower granny squares.
This is my collection for cute animal squares.

Some of the patterns used did not reach the required dimensions of 9” x 9” – so once I’d completed the square as per the original design, I just added a few more rounds following pattern of the last round (or last 2 rounds) till I got to our desired size specifications.

Make a combination of cute animal squares and join them together to make an exciting blanket for you lil one, why don't you?  Check out the links below on how to work with multiple coloured yarns and different joining methods.  Cheers

Check out my earlier blog(s) on making a square larger.
Some of these patterns do not fit my required 9" x 9" requirement.

All I did was work per pattern, and then run a few extra rounds around to get it to size.

In case they are just too small, I just added four together to make a cute 9" x 9" collage of cute animals :) Go ahead.. create and enjoy. Spread smiles.
