Materials used : Today I’ve used some local Indian Red Heart / Coats Doli thread with a 1.75 mm crochet hook ;
This yarn is not specific for this project.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
For Indians : You could use Anchor , Red rose ; Red rose metallic or unbranded knitting cotton as well as Oswal or Vardhaman acrylic yarns
International yarns : Among the international yarns I have used, I’d suggest Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn.
Difficulty level : Easy to Intermediate

Please note that I start all my rounds with a ch 1 turning chain for ease.
Please check the top of this blog for a video tutorial on all the stitches needed to make this full project.
Finally please note that I take a lot of trouble trying to make my notes as easy as possible - so do go through all my detailed notes before you pick up your yarn.
So
what did I do differently?
My
project finished size
= 10 cm
1)
I
worked a dc 4-tog instead of trc 4-tog in Round 3. Please check the top of this blog for video
tutorials of this stitch.
2) I worked the
pattern till Round 7. At this point my doily was 10 cm, so I worked a final
round to finish
In
my last round I worked a ch-3 picot.

Last round : sc in the 1st st ;
*ch
2, sc in the next dc ;
(ch
1, sc + picot in the next dc) ;
rep
(to) 2 times ;
ch
1, sc in the next dc ;

*to* all around and join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
And
with this beautiful round of picot all around, we finish our small 10 cm round
doily. Fasten off and weave in ends.
