CAT ‘n SQUASHED MOUSE BOTTLE COVER
If you have been following my blog you’ll know
that my latest craze has been soap dispenser / mug hug / (wine) bottle covers. These have been so popular, that they’ve just
been flying off my hook and shelf – as soon as it’s made, it’s sold.. how fantastic is that, right?
Come along .. let’s work on this together.
Thank you for joining me.
In case you have just joined me, know that you can access all of my earlier creations by checking under ‘categories’ on the right hand side of this blog under “Labels”. Materials used : Just
a little bit of Oswal Cashmilon acrylic 3 and 4-ply yarn, with a 4 mm crochet
hook.
You can make this project with any yarn
and a hook that suits it.
Skill level : Easy
to Intermediate
Stitches used :
Starting slip knot : Here’s how you start with a slip knot. https://youtu.be/lJcqsVcs8cw
Starting slip knot 1 or the Sloppy Slip knot : This is a neat new way to start your work without a slip knot. https://youtu.be/YfC7KmGpifs
For today’s
creations, I’ve been inspired by the patterns at https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cat-coffee-cup--mug-cozy---open-or-closed-eyes
and https://www.supergurumi.de/amigurumi-ratten-lesezeichen-haekeln
Once you have
finished the cat mug cozy, you will know how much ‘body’ you need for your
little mouse. Work the pattern only for
that length.
So what I've done is make the cat mug cozy first and then make the rat book mark. Just ensure that. you make the body of the flattened rat for the full length of the bottom of your cup / mug and then attach the cat to the mouse and you've got a cute new creation - a cat and mouse mug or bottle cover
Ta da ! One oh
so cute squashed mouse with cat cover all ready!
