Today we have four parts to our creation – making beautiful 3D flower motif, preparing the ring, the holding chain and then finishing and putting it all together.

I have made my flower in gold and the petals in a shiny dark green.
For the ring, I have decided to use the gold.
The holding chain for this creation is the same color as the petals, and I've used a small ring in the centre of this chain.

Part 1 : The flower motif
The flower motif is from a cool video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuSz7B2reJE&t=934s
I found another similar one (without the leaves at the back) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZXw56l4xiQ
Both these videos are not in English, but you do not need to hear anything.
Just reduce the speed, if needed, (by clicking on the gear icon on the right hand side of your YouTube screen) and pause when you are doing what she is showing you.  This worked for me.

Once you are done with this gorgeous 3D flower motif, come back here to see how we convert it into a towel ring holder / topper.

Part 2 : Covering the ring or bangle
As I mentioned before, I’ve used the same gold yarn that I used for my flower motif to cover my ring.
But basically using any yarn, work one round of sc all around the ring, just like we did in yesterday’s creation.
To do this, you start with a slip knot around the ring and then work sc all around.

How do you work sc around the bangle / ring? Like you usually work an sc, but you work the hook around the bangle and then grab your yarn to work the sc.

Single Crochet : Sc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (2 lps on hk); yo, draw through both lps.  One sc made.  Check out the video at https://youtu.be/ghACqBpA-3k

First stitch for Single Crochet : This is how I like to start my row of sc. Check out the video at https://youtu.be/6pVYRfsf4_M

Part 3 : The holding chain
As I mentioned before, I used the same yarn as I have used for the flower petals, for the holding chain.
For today’s creation, I worked about 45 chain and attached this from the tops of two adjacent leaves.
I had a small black ring that I have attached the the centre of my holding ring.  So basically I worked 20 chain, then worked 5 sc around the ring to secure it to the centre, and then 20 chain again and fastened it to the adjacent leaf.
This is an option, if you find a small ring that works for you.
This ring will then hold my creation onto the hook on the wall.

Part 4 : Finishing and Putting it all together
Place the beautiful flower in front of your prepared ring and neatly attach.
(I used an embroidery needle)

Please use the photograph as a guide.
Before you fasten off, please hold your creation up with the ring or centre of chain and see that it holds.

Secure your towel holder onto the wall and hang your towel through and smile.  This is a beautiful project – one that can not only be made in several colors, but using any yarn and any hook that’s suitable for that yarn.

Go ahead and make a few to gift to friends.  Remember to share the photos with me so I can share them on my Facebook page.
