BABY SHOWER BABY FEET

Baby shower baby feet - free crochet pattern info from Sweet Nothings Crochet

The new trend is to have a baby shower reveal party to reveal the sex of the baby.  There are several games or ways to reveal the baby's sex and my client has asked for tiny little (3-D) baby feet in pink and blue as her reveal idea.
So today we're going to make really cute tiny little baby feet and if this your first time making them too, then I'm sure you're very excited as well.  I hope you'll enjoy this experience with me.

In case you have just joined me, know that you can access all of my earlier creations by checking under ‘categories’ on the right hand side of this blog under “Labels”.  Then, for your convenience, follow me here or on Facebook, You Tube, Pinterest, Twitter or Instagram.

Remember that you only print if absolutely essential.  Save paper – Save Our Earth.

Do remember to add my blog URL when you make and show off your creation.

Just copy the link on the search bar above - that's the blog URL.

This is a free blog - so do pay it forward for me.  Cheers.

Materials used : Today I’ve used ~ 30 gms soft some Oswal acrylic yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet hook ; embroidery needle fabric glue to seal ends ; crochet stitch markers
For Indians The yarn I’ve used is similar in thickness to about 1.5 strands of our Vardhaman acrylic yarn or Laura knitting cotton.
You could use Anchor , Red rose , 4-ply knitting cotton , or unbranded knitting cotton or White Rose or bamboo knitting cotton , Milk cotton ; Silk yarns ; Baby soft acrylic yarn , Ganga Spectrum as well
General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this pattern.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.  Using chunky yarn just means that the project zooms ahead that much faster.  So if you want a thicker yarn, just use a few strands together.
International yarns :  Among the international yarns I have used in this thickness, I’d suggest Lily Sugar n' Cream cotton yarn, Caron Simply Soft , Bernat Softee chunky.
but I think you could also use Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn

This is not my pattern but my original notes as I work on my own project
For today's cute little creation, I found this Pinterest link.  This link does not have a written pattern so here are my notes.  Feel free to visit the link and work the pattern out yourself. 👍

With stuff toys and in today's project, it is preferable to work in spirals without joining.  Instead of using a marker, I prefer to add a contrast thread / yarn for the last/first stitch
Use a contrast yarn to mark the end of rounds when working in spirals
This works for me.. Use whatever route that suits you to mark rounds and work in spirals

Start Round 1 : with a magic circle and work 6 sc in it.
We are going to work in spirals so we're not joining, but pull tight to close the opening. Place marker in the 1st or last st. (6 sts)
Adding a contrast yarn as round marker
Single Crochet : Sc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (2 lps on hk); yo, draw through both lps.  One sc made.  Check out the video at https://youtu.be/ghACqBpA-3k
First stitch for Single Crochet : This is how I like to start my row of sc. Check out the video at https://youtu.be/6pVYRfsf4_M

one tiny little foot all donesee how tiny this is

After working on this pattern I found a few videos and more pins so here you go. Check out this video or this video or this Pinterest link

Now depending on the usage you need to work an attachment for the back (heel section) of the foot.

1) IF YOU'RE MAKING A PAIR OF FEET FOR BABY SHOWER :

Re-attach your yarn at the centre of the heel on the left side foot and work a chain of 15 sts ; sl-st into the centre of the heel of the right side foot.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

The two are now attached and you can add a small bow to the base of the foot to keep them together

2) IF YOU'RE MAKING THIS INTO A KEYCHAIN :

made into a keychain

Re-attach your yarn at the centre of the heel and work a chain of 4 - 5 sts ; slip the keychain ring into this small loop and then sl-st back into the same stitch you started from (centre of the heel). Fasten off and weave in ends.

You could also add a small metal ring instead of working a crochet chain and slip the keychain ring into it.

3) IF YOU'RE MAKING THIS INTO A BAG IDENTIFIER / LUGGAGE TAG :

Re-attach your yarn at the centre of the heel and work a chain of 25 sts and then sl-st back into the same stitch you started from (centre of the heel). Fasten off and weave in ends.

I'm sure you have had as much fun as I have in designing this and getting loads of inspiration for usage too.
