Instruction information
This is not my pattern.  I used this link to create my cute little tags today.
If you decide to make this into a keychain then add a keychain ring into the crochet chain between the slippers.. and reduce the number of chains in between.

What did I do differently?
I think we need 9 chain and not 10 to start : so if we follow the pattern and work 3 dc in the 3rd ch from hook, we need 9 sts to start and if we are starting with 10 ch then that 1st set of 3 dc need to be in the 4th ch from hook - but you see what works for you.
Then instead of working Sipper 1 and then a long chain to start on Slipper 2, I finished the first slipper and then moved to the next one.
So I worked Step 1 and then left a long loop and worked Step 3 with the contrast yarn for the straps of the slippers.
Front done with the strapsback after tying up loose ends
the front done with the straps and loop ready on top and back with ends tied

I then worked on the base of the slipper (Step 4) and used sc to join the two little slipper bits together with Color 1 (which I'd used for the top of my slippers).
base piece doneattach base to top of slipperI've used sc to join front and base pieces
base piece done then attach front to back using single crochet all around

Once done, I made a chain (60 sts) and then started on Slipper 2 (Step 2).
make the chain to work on the 2nd slipper and then attach the base to finish

Again with the 2nd slipper I finished the top, then worked on the straps and then the base. I joined all the parts together and then fastened off and ensure I wove in the ends neatly.
and attach it onto your bag
and that's one really cute little slipper luggage tag all ready to set off

Oh remember that the chains you make between the two slippers is the length you need for your tag - and 9 of those sts will be eaten away (used up) by the 2nd slipper - so work your chain length accordingly.
I feel that this was a simpler and neater way to work this - but hey, you work your magic your way.
Add different strap colors and different base colors and make a lots of these to give off as gifts. Enjoy
