STEP LADDER PATTERNED SCARF

STEP LADDER PATTERNED SCARF

I saw this pin and thought that this one was a real ‘to-do’ and must do. It’s so cute.. a little like a chevron, a little like a step ladder or steps.. and altogether just unavoidable .. so I didn’t bother resisting and have decided to go ahead and figure this free chart out.

Thanks for joining me in my creative journey.
In case you have just joined me, know that you can access all of my earlier creations by checking under ‘categories’ on the right hand side of this blog under “Labels”.  Then, for your convenience, follow me here or on Facebook, You Tube, Pinterest, Twitter or Instagram. Check out all my social media handles at the bottom of this blog
Oh, and may I add that the fastest way to find any of my blogs is via Pinterest.

Do remember to add my blog URL when you make and show off your creation. Cheers.  Enjoy

As I work on this pattern, I’ve written down my notes that I share with you.

and here is the photograph from that pin that piqued my fancy

Materials used : Today I have about 150 gms of our lovely 4 ply Oswal Cashmilon acrylic yarn with a 4 mm crochet hook

start my row of hdc. Check out the video at https://youtu.be/lWXpl1KdbZ8

Double Crochet : dc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk);
[yo, draw through 2 lps] twice.  One dc made.
Check out the video at https://youtu.be/xdnjB27zpYo

Chainless start for Double Crochet : I dislike the ch-2 / ch – 3 start, and this is what I do to start my row of dc.

And just like that we’re done with this lovely wavy pattern.
Repeat Rows 2 – 7 till your project is of the length desired.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

I think this will look superb if we use a thinner yarn – say a 2 or 3 ply with a thinner hook, and I think then the stitch and pattern will show through even better.. but that’s for another day.

I have not completed my project as yet, but I just couldn’t wait to share this with you straight off.. I am so darn in love with the pattern.

Enjoyed this ?? I sure did .. come back right here for more freebie patterns
