HALF HERRINGBONE GLOVES
This is a really simple pattern and I’d say this is truly a must-try pattern.

Materials used : Today I’ve used about 60 gms 4-Seasons DK acrylic yarn with a 5 mm crochet hook ;
This yarn is not specific for this project.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
For Indians : The yarn I've used is very similar in thickness to our Oswal or Vardhaman acrylic yarns or Laura knitting cotton.
You could use Anchor , Red rose ; Red rose metallic or unbranded knitting cotton
International yarns : Among the international yarns I have used in this thickness, I’d suggest Lily Sugar n' Cream cotton yarn, Caron Simply Soft , Bernat Softee chunky.
Size made : (L) 7" x (around wrist) 7"

Instructions (Using U.S terminology)
Our gloves today will be from just below your wrist to just above the halfway mark of your fingers. There will be an opening for your thumb.

Please note that I start all my rows with a ch 1, turning chain for ease.
Please read through all my notes before you pick up your hook, so you know just where we're heading in our pattern.

We work a rectangle (of sorts) that will be the length (from below wrist to halfway up your fingers) & the width (which is the round palm measurement from around the base of your fingers)
Here's where you have a small calculation to work out.1) Measure the length you want for your gloves. 2) Measure your round wrist and measure around the palm (just at the base of your fingers - that bony bit just after the palm which is the largest part).
Generally for ladies we work about 18 - 19 cm / 7 - 7 1/2" ; and for me we work 19 - 20 cm or 7 1/2 - 8" for around palm measurement
We start working out gloves as a rectangle - from wrist to the top of the palms. The rectangle will be L (length of glove form wrist to top of palm) and W (width of top of palm or round wrist, whichever is larger)
There is no stitch count for the pattern

Start Row 1 : with as many fsc as you need for the length of your glove (from wrist to top of palm) Turn. I stated with 24 fsc
In the next row we will work the half herringbone stitch or hhdc .

Row 3 : hhdc in the 1st st & in each st till end. Turn
Row 2 : sc in the 1st st & in each st till end. Turn

Work as many rows as you need, working from top to bottom of your glove, till you get the round wrist or round palm measure.Remember that this pattern and your yarn hav a stretch.. so make it just a little bit tight or snug and it will stretch into palm shape.Fasten off and leave a tail for joining.

How do you join?
You have a neat rectangle - and you will join along the length (or join the starting & end rows) to make a cylinder. You need to leave a small opening for the thumb.
Starting at one end, join the two parts for about 45 cm / 2" (for a lady) or 7 cm/3" (for a man). You then leave a gap of 5 cm (lady) / 7 cm (man) and continue joining all the way to the end.

BOW MOTIF :
Magic circle : https://youtu.be/ISC39yOqWro
Start with a magic circle and work (ch 3, 3 dc ; ch 3, sl-st into the magic circle) ;
rep (to) once more for the other side of the bow.
Fasten off and leave a long tail.
Pull the magic circle tightly together.
Pass the free end / tail around the center of the bow 2 times / twice and tie up.
Attach your little bow to the glove (just near the thumb opening) using an embroidery needle.
