PRANCE AWAY PONY BLANKET

The multicolored Pony blanket - a free crochet pattern from Sweet Nothings Crochet

PRANCE AWAY PONY BLANKET

Today we are working on a really cute pony blanket.  I've made a simple blanket in a multitude of colors and then added a pony motif in the centre for today's creation.

Thank you for joining me.

In case you have just joined me, know that you can access all of my earlier creations by checking under ‘categories’ on the right hand side of this blog under “Labels”.  Then, for your convenience, follow me here or on Facebook, You Tube, Pinterest, Twitter or Instagram.

Oh, and may I add that the fastest way to find any of my blogs is via Pinterest.

All my blogs can be printed.  Find the printer friendly (green) link on the right hand side and at the bottom of this blog.  You can also hit Control P (or Command P for Mac) on your keyboard, and the blog will go directly to the connected printer.

Remember that you only print if absolutely essential.  Save paper – Save Our Earth.

Do remember to add my blog URL when you make and show off your creation.

Just copy the link on the search bar above - that's the blog URL.

To purchase this or similar yarn online, click here to buy your yarns online via Amazon.  While you will still pay the same, I may get paid by Amazon as well.

This is a free blog - so do pay it forward for me.  Cheers.

Materials used : Today I’ve used local 6-ply Ganga Alisha acrylic yarn with a 4.5 mm crochet hook ; fabric glue to seal ends

This yarn is not specific for this project.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.

For Indians : You could use Anchor , Red ros ; Red rose metallic or  unbranded  knitting cotton as well as  Oswal & Vardhaman acrylic yarns

International yarns :  Among the international yarns I have used, I’d suggest Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn.

General yarn info : I’d say you can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this lovely project.

PUTTING THE EYES TOGETHER :
Look at the photo for guidance
1) Attach the whites of the eyes (Part 5) onto the black bit of the eye.
2) Slide the pink (Part 4) such that only a sliver shows along one side and attach that down
3) Attach the black + pink part of eye onto the white of the eye.
4) Attach the white of the eye down onto the face
5) Using an embroidery needle and black colored yarn, embroider in eyelashes.
    Use the photo as guide.
Remember to fasten off and weave in ends at the end of each square for ease in finishing.
May I also suggest that you block your squares before joining (as per yarn instructions).

Once you have made as many squares as you want for your blanket, use one of these joining methods for a neat join.
