GRATITUDE DOILY

Gratitude Doily - a free crochet pattern from Sweet Nothings Crochet

GRATITUDE DOILY
We have had a difficult time during this pandemic but it has made all of realise so many things - I so appreciated the peace, calm and sense of satisfaction that crochet has given me and the Gratitude Doily embodies that.
The tight centre that seems all chaotic opens out into this floral laciness - it reminds me of how confused & panic stricken we were last year at this time, and now how much calmer and ready to face the world and take it in our stride we are ..
I'd love to hear what you think and what this reminds you of

How to work a picot stitch : Traditionally for a ch-3 picot, you work (ch 3, sl-st in 3rd ch from hook).  For a ch-5 picot, you will do (ch 5, sl-st in 5th ch from hook).

Here’s a great video https://youtu.be/8s3zVaBcn4s

You can work either a dc 3-tog or a trc 3-tog in the ch-4 sps.
We will also work a picot stitch on this last round.
If you want a beaded end round, add a bead instead of the picot stitch.

Round 34 : sl-st into the 1st ch-4 sp ,
trc 3-tog  in the same 1st ch-4 sp ;
*(ch 4 + picot + ch 4 ; trc 3-tog in the next ch-4 sp) ;
rep (to) 4 times ;
[ch 2, trc 3-tog in the next ch-4 sp]* ;
rep *to* all around ;
ch 2, and join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
Note : I worked a trc 5-tog instead of a trc 3-tog just for a different look
