SPLASH DOILY
When a drop of water splashes into a puddle, you get a ripple effect that looks a bit like my Splash Doily - don't you think?
This exquisite 10" doily is made from light cotton thread. You can easily make it a bit larger, by just increasing the lacy effect around the ends.
The beauty of this pattern is that you can make it using any yarn, with a suitable hook.

I do not claim that this pattern is my original one - but these pattern notes are my original notes as I make my own project.
The chart uses trc, dc and hdc but I've used dc all through. If you want to change the stitches, the chart is given below.
Double Crochet : dc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk);
[yo, draw through 2 lps] twice. One dc made.
Chainless start for Double Crochet : I dislike the ch-2 / ch – 3 start, and this is what I do to start my row of dc.
Half Double Crochet : Hdc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk) ;
yo, draw through all 3 lps. One hdc made.
