HARMONY SCARF

The Harmony Scarf is a beautiful perfect triangle, worked in soft cotton yarn.

The Katia yarn that I've used has worked so well in grading the colours into neat rows. My client loves it just as much as I did.

This pattern is a ten row repeat, which sounds scary but it's a simple. pattern. The pattern used the front post double crochet stitch, but that's the toughest it gets.

Materials used : Today I’ve used ~ 150 gms Katia Harmonia 100% cotton yarn yarn with a 3.5 mm crochet hook ; embroidery needle ; fabric glue to seal ends ; crochet stitch markers

For Indians : The yarn I’ve used is similar in-between (in thickness) to our Anchor & Laura knitting cottons.

You could use Red rose , 4-ply knitting cotton , or unbranded knitting cotton or White Rose or bamboo knitting cotton , Milk cotton ; Silk yarns ; Baby soft acrylic yarn , Ganga Spectrum as well

General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this pattern.

You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.

International yarns : Among the international yarns I have usedthat woudl work include : Lily Sugar n' Cream cotton yarn, Caron Simply Soft , Bernat Softee chunky.

but I think you could also use Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn

Please note that I start all my rounds / rows with a ch 1 turning chain for ease.

Please note that I take a lot of trouble to give loads of tips through my pattern sheet, so please read through the full sheet before you pick up your hook n yarn.

What did I do differently ?

Not much.

I stared with a magic circle, as I always like that closed finish ; and of course I used my chainless dc start for each row. I also start all my rows with a ch-1 that helps me get to that first dc without too much of effect.

I also changed the pattern a wee bit and left out one row of post stitches - as per my clients wishes. (she thought it looked too poky)

This is a lovely pattern and I am glad I tried it out.

I would recommend, however, that you have a grading or self striping yarn for this - as its way easier than trying to add colors and get them to match and then weaving in all the ends.

I worked this same pattern a second time around using Vera Moda Reflections yarn and the effect was as stunning
