In my patterns I work with the principle of stitch count and body measurement.  This means that you need to work the stitch count in pattern, till you get the measurement (length and/or width) that you need for your project.

My patterns usually involve a little bit of thinking - and his one involves a little more than just that - but the end result is unique - so come on over and lets work on this together.

Using the same basic idea, I made this adult version of the pull over.

The pattern starts at the neck - with the band around the neck.
We then work a raglan like pattern for the shoulders that leads to the arms and body.

Starting at the neckline we work downwards. Work the neck finishing later

So how do we convert this cute baby sweater to an adult one?
I used the links below to get measurements for the neck - well basically to get the raglan shape.

First measure your round neck and see which measurement works.
Do not go by the adult/small adult size because those are not for a closed neck pattern.
As we are working he bank that goes around the neck, we have a closed neck - got it?
So once you get the measure that works (from the chart), you know how many cms you need for each of the 4 sides.
According to Daisy Crafts pattern, she has worked a closed neck.
I wanted an open neck - so all I did was divide the front portion into half and keep working in rows till you get the neckline opening you want.
Once you get the opening you are happy with, join and start working in rounds.
Below are some photos to show you pattern detail, sleeve and joints

You will work in pattern for the chest portion till you have the armhole measurement.
Simplest way to check this is to either wear it or check it off a jacket or shirt.

You will then work in pattern til you get the length you need for your pull-over / jacket.
Go back and work the sleeves as given in pattern - & for the length you need.
