MINI PEACOCK FEATHER BAREFOOT SANDALS
When I made my first barefoot sandal or foot thong, I knew I’d come back to making more of these – It’s just been a bit longer than I thought to get to make my next set of these cute little creations..
Thank you for joining me as we work on this lovely pattern together.
Materials used : Today I’ve used some locally available unbranded 4 ply knitting cotton yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet
In general : Use any yarn with a suitable hook to make these projects.
Stitches used :
Magic circle : To refresh your skill, please view this easy video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLuSVyKvoUg
Chainless dc start : Instead of the usual start with ch 2 or ch 3, I’d like to introduce this lovely new way of starting a dc row. Do take a look at this self-explanatory super video http://www.mooglyblog.com/chainless-starting-double-crochet/
In case you are unhappy with this start, or do not like it, do continue with the usual ch-2 or ch-3 start. However, all instructions will be given assuming that you are using the chain-less dc start.
Instructions : (Using U.S terminology)
before beads n bling
You can use this pattern as a hanging toy ornament off your tree. All you need to do is attach a length of chain off one side. If you attach it to a rubber band or a tic-tac clip, then you get a neat hair clip. Have fun.
I think that if you wear a pair of closed shoes, and the barefoot sandal as well, you get a totally different looking footwear - and I *love* how this looks, don't you?
For this pattern, I used the pattern for the French Mini Peacock feather motif / ear ring (paid) pattern from www.etsy.com/shop/thecuriocraftsroom
I worked the pattern and just tweaked it a bit to make it into a foot thong from a lovely motif / ear ring pattern. The tweaking is just increasing the size of stitches a wee bit to make it from the mini feather to a slightly larger than mini foot thong. Oh, and I added beads for a little bling ;)
Creativity .. knows no end ! Have fun creating something oh, so cute! .. and I hope the recipient loves it too.

I love art and craft - and am grateful for this hobby that keeps me busy and out of 'mischief'.
We (as a family) are also staunch protectors of stray animals and will continue to do our bit to make this a safe world for them.
We strongly believe in R-R-R and several of my projects will show this.
