Please read through all my notes before you pick up your hook, so you know just where we're heading in our pattern.
In my patterns I work with the principle of stitch count and body measurement.
This means that you need to work the stitch count in pattern, till you get the measurement (length and/or width) that you need for your project.

This is my second pair of long dangling ear rings.
I posted the first one yesterday - this is similar - it has two hoops instead of the one I used yesterday.
However, again for this easy dangling ear ring pattern, we will basically do a similar pattern. Once again, the beauty of all this lies in neatness and evenness of work, great yarn and lovely beads.

This is not a traditional write up with exact number instructions – it’s just going to be an informative blog.

Take any small hoop that you have and work as many sc or hdc as you want all around, ensuring that you neatly and totally cover the hoop.
You can work an additional round of sc or hdc – depending on how large a loop you want or have started with.
Here’s where individuality and creativity come in – use beads.. any sized and as many as you want – all around the edge of the little loop.

Check the top of this blog for a ‘how to work with beads’

Add a little more creativity by adding picots and I’d suggest the ch-3 picot which is (ch 3, sl-st in the 3rd ch from hk).

How to work a picot stitch : Traditionally for a ch-3 picot, you work (ch 3, sl-st in 3rd ch from hook).  For a ch-5 picot, you will do (ch 5, sl-st in 5th ch from hook).
Here’s a great video https://youtu.be/8s3zVaBcn4s

Once I had the first hoop done, I just worked a long length of chain and added the next hoop at the end.  I then folded my chain in half and added on my ear ring hook in the folded point of the chain.

I guess you could hang two sets of this off the same hook.. make two hoop with chain combinations, and add them on at different lengths - make something new and unique.
The onus in this as I said before is neatness – there are a lot of ends to tie down and hide away.

Just half an hour plus and you have a new pair of ear rings.  Cool huh?
