For this darling roly-poly elephant,  I have been inspired by these two patterns at https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-elephant-4 and Humphrey the Elephant at http://www.littlemuggles.com/publications/

I decided to add a large red bow around the neck to make it a 'boy' elephant and the cute white bow around the ear to make it a 'girl elephant'.
In case you do not want to crochet the bow, you could use a satin ribbon.

My client loved it.. Let's see your ideas :)

For my headband, I used the elephant applique pattern from RepeatCrafterme at http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/2014/10/e-is-for-elephant-crochet-elephant.html
I made two (mirror-image) little motifs and then stuffed it slightly before attaching it to the headband.

Enjoyed this ?? I sure did.. come back right here for more freebie patterns
